The Whole Family

SUPPORT FOR THE KIDS

Each quarter we get the gang together at a local business and just have fun! All local childhood cancer patients/survivors and their siblings are invited. We have done everything from decorating giant cookies at Wired Cafe, Board & Brush projects at Maximum Art Studio, cooking "Lucha Tots", and our Go Gold Fun Fair with games prizes and the Fire-Truck Pull!

Check out our events page to follow upcoming events! If you know of a business that would like to give back by hosting a #Teammate Event, let us know.

#Teammates are the children we play for.

SUPPORT FOR THE PARENTS

Parents shouldn't have to go at it alone.

We don't forget about the hard work from our wonderful parents and guardians. This year we will be launching our first events that are just for the Moms and just for the Dads. In the words of one of our Veteran Dads, 'If you don't take care of yourself, you won't be any good for anyone." We can help with that! We have a group of Moms working on a "Spoil The Mom" day, complete with daycare.  For the Dads, there will be a one day workshop equipping us to "Win The War, Not Just The Battle".

SUPPORT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Childhood cancer doesn't just affect the kids, it affects
everyone in the family.

Our mission is to provide support for local Pediatric Oncology families and survivors in the way that is best for them. That can be anything from gas cards to get to treatment, car repairs to help with the travel. You name it, we have probably done it.  Most people aren't aware of the fact that our families must travel hundreds of miles for treatment. Gas, oil changes, parking fees, tolls, auto repairs -- on top of hospital bills--adds up quickly.

That's where we come in! Thanks to the supportive state-line community, we are able to help. When you are sitting at the kitchen table with your head in your hands saying, "How in the world are we going to be able to...", give us a call at (815) 329-2246 or email us at strikeoutchildhoodcancer.org@gmail.com. We are here to help!
